George Weigel

Senior Fellow of the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington D.C. He is the author of the excellent two-volumes biography of Pope John Paul II, Witness to Hope (1999) and The End and the Beginning (2010) translated into dozens of languages. The essay The Cube and the Cathedral (2005) is devoted to the question of the influence of Christianity on politics in Europe. Similar issues are also dealt with in the book entitled Against the Grain: Christianity and Democracy, War and Peace (2008). His last book, published in 2021 is entitled Not Forgotten: Elegies For, and Reminiscences Of, a Diverse Cast of Characters.
