Bogusław Wolniewicz

Eminent philosopher, logician, professor of humanities, publicist. He exerted a great influence on the metaphysical trend in Polish philosophy. Translator of Ludwig Wittgenstein's Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus (1970), Philosophical Investigations (1972) and Gottlob Frege's Semantic Writings (1977). One of the greatest experts on Wittgenstein's thought. He is the author of, inter alia, Things and Facts (Rzeczy i fakty, 1968, 2019), Ontology of Situation (Ontologia sytuacji, 1985, 2019) and Philosophy and Values (Filozofia i wartości, vol. I – 1993, vol. II – 1998, vol. III – 2003, vol. IV – 2016).
